During play, the referee may determine that a player’s declared action has a chance of failure and the potential for some kind of consequence (or consequences) if unsuccessful. When this occurs, the referee may require the player to make a task resolution roll to determine if the player’s declared action is successful. The referee is always the one to determine if a task resolution roll is necessary.
To make a task resolution check, the player rolls 1d6. The action is successful if the roll, after being adjusted with any applied modifiers, is 6 or higher.
A natural roll of 1 is always a failure. A natural roll of 6 is always a success.
